How sustainable are your materials and production processes?
Our sofas are produced in Europe, in Poland to be precise. We visit the factory twice a year, and every production run is checked on-site by an independent quality control inspector (QC). For direct delivery to our customers, we deliberately sought a partner who prioritises sustainability and continuously invests in sustainable transport: TSN Groen is the specialist in emission-free distribution and high-quality service. The factory uses FSC-certified wood. The load-bearing parts of our sofas are made of beech wood, one of the strongest and most durable wood types for furniture construction. The foam in our sofas is a high-quality polyether with a long lifespan. Naturally, the lifespan is also related to usage: a sofa in an active family with young children and/or pets will be subject to more intense wear than a sofa used by a quiet single person. It is important for sofas to be used evenly. Both more expensive and cheaper sofas lose some volume in the first few months. If you always sit in the same spot during that period (often the favourite corner), it might seem like a hollow is forming there. By regularly using all seats, this process occurs more evenly and is barely noticeable. All fabrics and leathers "come alive" during use. Like clothing, they become slightly softer and may wrinkle a bit more. This is a normal phenomenon and is part of the natural behaviour of materials. Some fabrics wrinkle a bit more than others; we are, of course, happy to advise you on this. We work with polyester fabrics and other materials that are very hard-wearing and have a long lifespan. Our collection ranges from 38,000 to over 100,000 Martindale. This indicates the abrasion resistance of a fabric; all our fabrics are suitable for intensive daily use. We always strive to provide an honest and transparent picture of our production chain and our way of working. Sometimes something goes wrong with us too, but we always resolve it as well and carefully as possible. This is also evident from our Trustpilot score of 4.7 — the highest rating within our industry.
Can I design a sofa completely myself?
Absolutely! Our entire range is completely modular. This means you can create your own sofa entirely: from configuration to fabric and color. Where are your benches produced?
Our sofas are carefully crafted in Europe in Poland. Here, we collaborate with skilled craftspeople who have extensive experience in creating high-quality, modular seating.
What materials do you use for the benches?
The base consists of a sturdy frame, with supporting parts made of beech wood for optimal stability. No-sag springs are placed in the frame every few centimeters to prevent sagging. For seating comfort, we use a combination of high-quality polyether and comfort foam, which ensures resilience and long-lasting support. A soft layer of dacron is then applied to protect the upholstery and extend the sofa's lifespan. Finally, each sofa is hand-upholstered in one of our 24 carefully selected fabrics – polyester for its strength and durability.
Are your banks FSC-certified?
Yes, the wood in our benches is FSC-certified. This means it comes from responsibly managed forests, with care for people, animals, and nature. This way, you can be sure you're choosing a sustainable foundation.
Do you work with permanent collections or does your offering change regularly?
We work with a fixed core collection of six modular sofas and matching accessories. These form the core of our offering. At the same time, we remain flexible and trend-focused: based on market developments and input from our community, we regularly add new elements and various furniture pieces that complement our sofas. Our color collection is also updated annually: every September, we change half of our 24 colors, ensuring we always remain in tune with current interior design trends and our customers' preferences.
What is your warranty policy?
The 4x6 sofa comes with a standard 30-month warranty. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, situations resulting from improper or no maintenance, assembly and setup not in accordance with the instructions, transfer of other objects and substances, or stains from food, liquids, etc. The 4x6 sofa products are not suitable for use by pets. Pets using the 4x6 sofa product will void the warranty. The warranty on SALE sofas or showroom models is 12 months.
Can I return my sofa?
Returns are possible upon consultation. For sofas, we charge €175 per section (for the first two) and €100 per additional section. For example, for six sections, the return shipping costs are €750. Previously paid shipping costs are non-refundable. Want to return something? Email hello@4x6sofa.com with your order number and reason for return. Please return the product in its original condition, otherwise, repair costs may be deducted.
How am I protected as a buyer when I purchase a sofa from 4x6 sofa?
The 4x6 sofa is CBW-certified. This means that, in addition to our own terms and conditions, we offer additional protection for you as a consumer. This is, of course, incredibly helpful when making a major purchase, like a modular sofa . It provides extra protection for your down payment, warranty, and complaints. Daar moesten we heen! En het was wel goed dat we dat hadden gedaan, want het is wel echt een aanrader om even te gaan zitten en de bank te beleven. Ook om te bepalen welke kussens goed zijn ter ondersteuning voor je persoonlijke zit.
En natuurlijk om de stoffen te zien en te voelen!
Op internet hebben we de ideale bank samengesteld en het is werkelijk waar een droomopstelling!
De bank had een normale levertijd, wat je tegenwoordig overal hebt, 10-12 weken.
Toen de bank werd bezorgd was het wel even een speciaal moment. Wat je zelf hebt samengesteld qua opstelling en kleur, staat er dan eindelijk!
Wauw, wauw wauw, wat een droombank!
Maar vanuit de fabriek waren er wat vlekken op de bank gekomen, dat zag je al door het plastic heen toen het werd geleverd. We hebben er meteen melding van gemaakt en 4x6 heeft hier heel adequaat op gehandeld en de vlekken hebben we weg gekregen met een goed schoonmaakmiddel wat ze ons hebben toegestuurd. Fijne service! We hebben goed contact met ze gehad en ze waren zeer klant gericht, geduldig, vriendelijk, helemaal top. Ook geen dagen lang wachten op antwoord, nee, je kreeg vrij snel al een persoonlijk antwoord. Geen ai mailtjes, maar echt persoonlijk contact. Dat komt ook professioneel over, nu steeds meer bedrijven ai ingestelde berichten versturen naar klanten, wat totaal niet persoonlijk over komt. Dus chapeau voor 4x6 Sofa!
Mensen die bij ons thuis komen, hebben allemaal dezelfde reactie. Hun mond valt open en ze krijgen grote ogen bij het zien van onze prachtige bank. Het is ook echt dé eyecatcher van onze woning.
We zijn zó blij met de bank!!

Wij wilden onze woonkamer optimaal benutten en kozen voor twee zitgedeeltes. Zo kunnen we ons aan de ene kant terug trekken met een boek en aan de andere kant kan met het gezin tv kijken.
Best spannend omdat het toch lastig in te beelden is hoe dit in de praktijk uitpakt.
In de showroom in Naarden hebben wij alle banken getest en met onze favoriete bank de droom opstelling samengesteld.
Doordat de medewerkster onze woonkamer op schaal had uitgewerkt konden we aan de hand van de miniatuur elementen exact zien hoe het er in “het echt” uit kwam te zien.
De werkelijkheid overtrof onze verwachting! Na een aantal weekjes werd de bank ruim op tijd aan huis geleverd, netjes in elkaar gezet en precies naar wens in de woonkamer geplaatst.
We kozen voor de kleur roest uni en door de stof blend deze heel mooi in onze kleurrijke woonkamer. Het is een ware eyecatcher, die toch door zijn elegantie subtiel overkomt!
